WIL WELSH
A former high school and K-8 principal, English teacher, business owner, realtor, magazine editor, novelist, playwright, etc., Wil’s most cherished role now is grandfather to Ursula and Owen. They live in Ketchikan, Alaska, a small-island environment that echoes their mother’s and uncle’s upbringing on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, where Wil and his wife, Jo, still live.
Jo and her sisters, reading a partial, decade-old early draft of this book, encouraged Wil to finish it. He sincerely appreciates their support as avid “first” readers of his writing. Wil is also grateful to the many others who have critiqued, improved, and encouraged his work, including two suspense novels (The Ultimate Equity, a published e-book, and the recently completed Estate Sale, both set on Kauai).
Community theaters in Hawaii, Australia, and California have presented his plays and musicals. Wil’s original musical, Sugar! Oh, Sugar!, a boo-the-villain “meller-dramer” comedy set in old sugar plantation days, features a 120-page musical score by Edward Dato and Jerome Gilmer.

He hopes readers of any age will enjoy Under My House!
